helpful staff excellent breakfast convenient location
I appreciated the helpful staff and the hotel's personalized approach. the breakfast was excellent. i also enjoyed the hotel surroundings and found the location very convenient. It was easy to access local attractions.
the room i stayed in felt somewhat outdated. the bed was a bit small. this negatively impacted my sleep quality .

Staff members offered prompt assistance. they addressed all requests efficiently, showing genuine care. The reception was very friendly. the team was always available to help with directions and recommendations.

the hotel provides secure off road car parking. it is easily accessible to explore nearby treasures. it is a short drive away from the coast. direct access to the forrest and walking routes is available.

breakfast included both continental and cooked options. the terrace restaurant provides very good meals. we loved all meals in both restaurants. it was a top quality dining experience with excellent local produce

stiff controls poor water
I found the shower controls stiff. This made adjusting the water temperature difficult. The water flow was also poor, hindering a proper wash. I consider it petty to charge extra for a cooked breakfast given the already high room rates. This inclusion should be standard.

grisly steak incomplete dish
i booked a steak at the restaurant and was disappointed. it was quite grisly. i wish there was a bit of watercress added to the plate, as it felt incomplete. this small addition could have elevated the dish.

The Hayloft Barn offered a separate, quiet experience away from the main building. The room included heated bathroom floors and air conditioning. Staff consistently replenished supplies each day.
The pub was quite hot when I wanted to dine with my dog.

secure bike storage free spa access pleasant breakfast
The staff helped us store our bikes securely, a very kind offer. I swam at the Carey Manor Spa. It was free. The hotel booked a lane for me. Breakfast outside in the garden was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was nice!!!
Shower controls were stiff, and the water flow was poor.

a wonderful and relaxing getaway
warm welcome comfortable bed delicious food
the staff was wonderful and helpful. my room was good with a very comfortable bed. i had dinner in the pub next door and the food was delicious!!! we enjoyed the really good weather outside.
the phone in my room looked slightly dirty, a minor detail.

The location is ideal for walks. I explored the surrounding area extensively. nearby attractions include buckler's hard and the national motor museum. ponies and donkeys roam freely in the new forest, perfect for sightseeing.

the customer service was first class. staff replenished the room consumables on a daily basis, i felt well looked after. dietary requirements were well catered for, i got super support from the staff.
