Wonderful Boutique Hotel Experience
friendly staff delicious breakfast daily souvenirs
I found the staff friendly (they always had a smile!). The team offered recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfasts were thoughtful, delicious, and served next to the clean pool. The hotel provided plenty of drinking water, tea, biscuits, drinks in the mini fridge, and complimentary sweets daily, showing great attention to detail. The room was tidied twice a day, and the staff left little souvenirs daily.
The room could have used a little more lighting.

Breakfast options were amazing and catered to takeaway meals. Staff helped us plate meals as soon as they saw us coming in. The breakfast area is located right next to the pool.

packed breakfast sweet treat heritage style poor insulation inefficient aircon bathroom heat
the staff provided great attention to detail. i received a packed breakfast when i left early. a little sweet treat was left on the pillow every evening, a lovely touch. i loved the heritage style.
my room wasn't well insulated. there were lots of gaps on the floor board. air con in the room was not efficient as it leaked everywhere. it was unpleasant to use the bathroom in the extreme heat because it has no air con.

poor insulation inefficient air conditioning
the staff offered helpful tips for exploring the area.
my room lacked good insulation. i could see through gaps in the floorboard to the room downstairs (it wasn't very private). this also made the air conditioning inefficient. the bathroom felt unpleasant because it had no air conditioning in the extreme heat.

minor drawbacks in an otherwise charming hotel
loud music slow drain
I had a few issues. the noise from a nearby club was quite disturbing on saturday nights (it went on until the early hours). i found it hard to get a good night's sleep because of the loud music. the shower was also a problem. It was small and the drain was slow. water pooled easily, made showering rather unpleasant.
