narrow stairsunclean carpet
I encountered a couple of issues that detracted from the stay. there was no lift, so carrying luggage up two flights of narrow stairs proved difficult. additionally, i found the carpet to be quite unclean. Dust was gathered under the bed and along the edges where it met the wall. it seems the room needs a little attention regarding upkeep and detailed cleaning. i found a large patch of peeled paint on the wall.

The room decor was pleasant (I liked the colour schemes). I appreciated the good size shower room. The private lounge bar downstairs was nice.
There was no lift, so carrying luggage up the stairs was not ideal. The carpet turned out to be disgusting. I sadly realized this on the last day. I saw clear signs the room needed a little attention.

The staff was friendly. The location is picturesque due to its proximity to the harbour.
There was no lift. Carrying luggage up two flights of narrow stairs was not ideal. The carpet turned out to be disgusting. I only noticed this when I dropped something and had to search for it. It explains why I was somewhat wheezy through the night.

A Romantic Seaside Escape

I adored the complimentary biscuits provided with the tea and coffee. The bed was wonderfully spacious and comfortable. I found an ample supply of quality soaps and soft towels in the clean bathroom. Breakfast was superb (especially the pancakes!).
Unfortunately, there was no lift. Carrying our luggage up two flights of narrow stairs was a bit challenging.

The hotel sits in an amazing location, close to cafes, shops, and the bus stop. Parking was easy nearby, so trips were stress-free. The sea is just a few steps away (perfect for a morning swim!).

some issues impacted my stay

inadequate curtainsdistracting light
My stay werent perfect, mainly due to some lighting issues. bright light came through the door from the corridor at night, and the smoke detector emitted a really distracting green light. curtains didn't block out the morning sun well enough either. also, the bed wasnt quite what i expected. I expected a super king, but it were only a king size.

The provided toiletries were quality, and I found the bed superb! Parking was easy nearby. Cafes were only a short stroll away. The sea being so close was amazing! Breakfast was delicious.
The room lacked a lift. Carrying luggage up the stairs was slightly inconvenient.
