cozy stay

stocked shopwarm cabin
the shop was well stocked even for a bank holiday week. the cabin was warm too, i thought. the pods are modern and clean.
given the torrential rain i felt it poor that you couldn't access pods earlier than 4pm. there is little in the way of shelter or pubs to stop at near this location. also limited sheltered areas exist for cooking near the pod when raining! impossible to bbq with the rain.

Compact Pod with Surreal Sunset Views!

modern podscompact designsurreal viewessential items
The pods felt modern and compact, almost scientific in design. The 'one-way' glass front provided a surreal sunset view right from the bed. Space is more limited if the bed remains down. The shop stocked a huge range of food plus essential items guests may need.
The tall plants around the pods gave the impression of countryside isolation. I reminded me of I constantly had to prevent a mouse from entering my sleeping area.
Location
9/10
The hotel has an amazing location and provides great views of the loch and mountains. Scoor and Iona are both reachable from here. There is also a restaurant and bar close to the pods.
Facilities
10/10
The pods are very well equipped despite their compact size. The bathroom has a great shower. It is lovely. Laundry facilities are ideal and available too.
Service
9/10
The owner offers good service to all guests. Check-in is self-service and comfortable.

spacious podmisleading descriptionmouse problem
the pod was spacious. it had everything needed. a shop stocked well even for a bank holiday week.
the description did not clearly state bunk beds were only suitable for children, and not adults. i found this misleading and inconvenient. we also had to deal with a mouse.

underwhelming glamping experience

small bedspoor pest control
the bunk beds were advertised, but their size wasn't clear. they ended up much too small for adults. also, dealing with a mouse inside the sleeping area really detracted from the experience. i would have hoped for better pest control measures, considering the location is rural.
