a good stay

themed roomgreat detailgood varietydesignated parking
the themed room was beautifully decorated. i found the attention to detail quite excellent. the breakfast provided a good variety of options (i especially loved the fresh pastries!). the designated parking lot was very convenient and appreciated.
i noticed that the walls were a bit thin, so i could occasionally hear some noise from other rooms.
Dining
9/10
the self-service continental breakfast included fresh pastries, cereals and yogurts. i saw sliced meats in their original packaging were available in the fridge . costa coffee was available through the proper coffee maker.
Rooms
9/10
the room provided a fridge and a microwave. plates, bowls, and cutlery were available, along with a sink. i appreciated the coffee maker which used costa branded coffee. the room itself was quiet and comfortable despite being near a main road.
Service
10/10
the staff member sam was particularly helpful. the host recognized me from a previous visit. i found the location ideal for access to trains, the tube, and the harry potter studios.

acceptable but with issues

stale pastriesmusty smell
The breakfast was a real letdown. Pastries tasted stale and seemed straight from a packet. Meats were in supermarket packaging with no utensils provided. the absence of staff was noticeable. No one was readily available for assistance or to address concerns. to top it off, there was a strange, musty smell lingering in the bathroom, which really soured the experience. Overall value was questionable, considering these problems.

The guest house location is close to a park. The tube station to London is also nearby. There were plenty of local shops around the corner.
The breakfast pastries tasted stale. The hotel sits on the main road. The old windows let in traffic noise at night.
