wonderful historical stay

The lady at reception was lovely. She gave a warm welcome. We had a room with a nice view. it was super clean. a good sized comfortable bed was provided. i also noticed a dry room for wet shoes and coats. the building was once the solicitor's office of beatrix potter's husband. beatrix met her husband there.
i was at the top story in the attic. i had to schlepp luggage up steep stairs.

The room had tea and coffee making facilities. Milk was available in a fridge downstairs. there was also a selection of snacks and drinks with an honesty jar downstairs. This was convenient and thoughtful. the room was well-appointed.

the location was quite good, i think.
Our room felt smaller than expected, it restricted movement. i also had to carry luggage up very steep stairs, it wasn't easy at all. low ceilings were also a constant issue. I bumped my head several times.

the location is quite central. i found shops, pubs, and restaurants nearby. guest parking was available, and another larger car park was nearby too.
i stayed on the top story in the attic. i had to carry my luggage up very steep stairs.. the ceilings had a low clearance, and i kept bumping my head. the room was quite small.
