the STAFF was friendly. the evening meals provided great value. breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. the beds felt supremely comfortable and clean, a true blessing after a long day.
First impressions on arrival were of peeling paint. the exterior seemed neglected. this continued inside WITH scuffed wallpaper. stained carpets also covered the staircase going up to the rooms. A VERY disheartening sight.

The location proved very handy. The staff were pleasant and helpful. A GOOD size car park was available.
The WiFi did NOT work in my room. Television reception was also patchy. The room felt cold and I asked for help with the heating.

The room i had was rather cold! the heating did not work and the windows were quite draughty. also, there was mould on the walls near the window. It is no surprise considering the lack of heating in such a cold room.

the staff were amazing. they were kind and super helpful! the room was clean and comfy, like really clean! the food was really tasty, i had lovely meals there, everything tasted fresh.
the outside area looked a little worn, peeling paint was an issue. the inside felt a bit old too, like it needed a refresh. the bathroom wasnt great, the sealant looked a bit mouldy. this was a shame.

i found the staff helpful and polite. the food was good value and the pub had a good atmosphere (i enjoyed my time there).
the extra inside windows weren't great. one was missing, meaning i could hear more traffic. the bathroom was cold and the entire hot tap would turn when i tried to use it.
