A magical Lakeside Escape
graceful grounds ample tea restful sleep warm welcome
The hotel grounds stretch gracefully toward the lake, wonderful. Our room included ample tea and coffee. I found this very thoughtful. The bed provided such restful sleep. It seemed like sleeping on a cloud. All staff were attentive. I especially valued their warm welcome.
I observed that some wallpaper in the hallway showed slight peeling, though hardly a distraction.

The Bistro offered a wide selection of dishes. I noted many locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast included yogurt. I appreciated the fresh fruit. Dinner was amazing and offered great wine.

The location gave easy access to the lake. Grounds added greatly to enjoyment. I saw snow-capped mountains from many vantage points. The position provided fine views across Windermere.

The room was large with a big shower room, I believe. Fluffy towels added a touch of luxury. The room was warm, it included dressing gowns! and slippers.

The hotel offers boat hire, it is perfect, I think. Private boat rides include prosecco, very nice. Log fires burned throughout the hotel, a treat on snowy days. I felt relaxed, though the parking was expensive!

lovely lakeside celebration
lakeside suite caring staff stress-free wedding special experience
We chose the Lakeside Suite. for our wedding, it was perfect. The staff greeted us warmly and cared. Our wedding planner handled everything. professionally and stress-free, the provided witnesses was like part of our story. The food at the Lake View restaurant WAS very nice. Special mention goes to the server, he.

Average stay with room issues.
peeling wallpaper room temperature
The location is acceptable with views of the lake.
I found the room to be dusty and it triggered my allergies. The wallpaper was peeling too and it was cold in the room. Staff said the temperature could not be adjusted. These issues detracted from the experience.

king size bed delicious sandwiches floor-to-ceiling windows unwelcoming service slow server foam latte
I found the lake view room spacious. it had floor-to-ceiling windows. the king size bed offered restful sleep. i really liked the tasteful decor, it was serene. the vegetarian breakfast included extra options. afternoon tea was delicious. The chef catered to my needs at short notice. the sandwiches included different flavored breads.
i found the service slow and unwelcoming, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. the server with blond hair wasn't very friendly. their lattes were 3/4 foam, it was disappointing. i requested one with less foam, but the response was that the machine is set like that.

missing fridge disturbing noise
The breakfast was fine. I liked the location near the lake.
The room was small, and it lacked basic amenities. I expected a fridge, but it was absent. The lighting was dim. I also found the noise from nearby rooms quite disturbing. I could hear conversations and the TV through the walls.

lovely lakeside retreat

The hotel has a private boat for hire. it includes a captain and prosecco. the suite was gorgeous with a hot tub. the outdoor area felt very private! the hotel grounds are peaceful. They are right by the lake.
i thought the wi-fi could be a bit faster.

Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, and pastries. a full english breakfast was cooked to perfection. the bistro offered perfect food and service. I really liked this experience a lot!

The hotel has two large drawing rooms. these rooms are lovely for a coffee. they are also good for an after-dinner drink. my room was spacious and well-equipped. I found this very convenient.
