Mixed Stay with Some Issues
small wardrobe missing chair
The room was small. A king size bed dominated it. There was little room to move. Only one chair was there even though two people occupied the room. The wardrobe was small. There was nowhere to put luggage.

lovely stay
fruit plate chocolate plate big bed
the check-in were fast. our room were overlooking the front. it had a plate of fruit and chocolates. the bed were big. the bathroom had nice toiletries, big towels, and a good shower. breakfast include plenty of choices and all freshly cooked.
the dinner menu on mondays and tuesdays were limited.

breakfast offers good variety. henrock provides a balanced tasting menu but the food temperature could be warmer. the bar and conservatory offer delicious meals with a great view of the lake and hills.

unwelcoming bar service slow breakfast
I found some aspects of my stay less than perfect. The bar service felt unwelcoming. The staff seemed uninterested in assisting guests, and securing a spot by the fire proved difficult. Gluten-free options were a challenge. Despite the chef's eventual help, the bar staff lacked knowledge and gave off a rude attitude when I asked ( were great. Breakfast service dragged on, even though the staff seemed to try their best. It looked they needed more help.

mixed feelings about my stay
small room tiny wardrobe
the grounds are very beautiful, i must admit.
my room felt small, especially with the king size bed taking up most of the space. there was only one chair, a problem because there were two of us. THE wardrobe was also tiny, and we struggled to store our clothes.
