the room was very spacious and comfortable. i noticed two big sofas and a tv in it.. the decor was warm and inviting. the bar had comfortable surroundings, a plus after a long day.
the shower door needs replacing as it is rotting with water, though otherwise functional.

The room was spacious. It had a comfortable bed! the bathroom included a gorgeous freestanding bathtub? it was a twenty minute drive to hadrian's wall. The staff was helpful. they made dinner for us after the kitchen had closed! this was a gem of a find.
my sheets had been washed though had moldy stains. all over it.

The food was superb. there was a nice, busy pub. The atmosphere was good! the lady running the place was lovely and cute. The staff was great.

There were roaring fires in the bar and dining room? this created a lovely welcome! the reception on arrival was great. The hotel has loads of charm.

the member of staff helped weary travellers, that seemed to cover all tasks.
i booked months before yet was assigned a room directly above the pub it was impossible to sleep until midnight due to the noise someone then started playing the piano.
