nice locationterrible bedunkempt garden
the room was nice and well presented i found the location next to the canal quite appealing and close to town.
the bed in the room was terrible i felt the springs digging into my back a new mattress is definitely needed the whole place seemed neglected over the years holes were present in the stair carpet and the garden looked unkempt this gave the areas a rather tatty appearance.

The location was acceptable, near a canal, and a short walk to the town.
The steep, narrow stairs to reach my room were potentially dangerous. The decor in the public areas seemed quite old. The mattress was not comfortable, and the pillows needed replacement.

delicious breakfastearly check-incold bedroomtraffic noise
i enjoyed the breakfast. the food was very tasty. the staff helped us with an early check-in. it was important because of a wedding we attended.
the room felt cold. i noticed the bedroom had a radiator but it did not help much. there was noise from traffic outside. the room was at the front of the building.

The location near the canal was acceptable. Watching boats go through the lock was a plus.
