adequate stay, some issues
excessive noise small room
the staff was friendly enough, i will give them that.
The room was far too small. i booked what i thought was a 'large double room'. the noise from the bar below was also excessive. I struggled to sleep until it closed. i really think they need better soundproofing.

charming escape
generous breakfast comfortable bed big windows
the room had nice big windows overlooking the beer garden.. i could open them to enjoy the weather. breakfast was delicious and generous, definitely filling. the bed was comfortable, a real treat after a day of walking.
the room could use a little updating.

my double room included soft white towels and had everything i needed for a comfortable stay. i was able to enjoy the view of the garden with the big windows it had. i thought the room was very clean.

the location is a short distance to the passenger ferry towards southwold and also not far from the beach and shops. i found it very convenient for cycling.

small room low ceiling
The location was excellent, right next to the sand dunes and the sea.
I booked a large double room, BUT I got a small room. The ceiling was so low, I couldn't stand up straight anywhere, including the bathroom. It was VERY noisy too, directly above the bar.

great food helpful staff adnams beers
i appreciated the great food the hotel offered the staff was very helpful throughout my stay the beers from adnams were a real treat i found the location to be ideal next to both the sand dunes and the sea
the room was quite small it could use some updating to feel more modern
