The room was excellent. It was a cosy space. good lighting brightened everything and electric blinds were so useful. the bed was huge, and comfortable. a clean, modern bathroom included a roll-top bath.
the evening menu is marvellous though i wish the cheapest wine was a bit less expensive.

fantastic stay!

evening mealhelpful staffcomfy bedamazing salmon
i booked a room last minute and i am so happy i did! the evening meal was genuinely wonderful and the staff were helpful too. my room had tons of character and everything i needed for a comfortable visit. the bed was super comfy. breakfast was fabulous i especially loved the best scrambled eggs i think i've ever had! smoked salmon was amazing too.
honestly the only thing i could even consider a slight negative is that the parking isn't directly on site but it's just a short walk down the road so it really wasn't a problem.

lovely room and great dining experience

modern designtea facilitiesheated towel railoverpriced roast
the bedrooms showcase modern, bright design. our room featured full tea making facilities and shortbread. the bathroom included a bath, a shower, a double sink, bright lighting, a sound system in the mirror, and a heated towel rail. the food was really good, both for the evening meal and breakfast (the full english was something!).
i visited for sunday lunch. the roast beef, though nice, felt overpriced for what was on the plate. the portion did not quite match the price i paid (a bit disappointing).

Adequate Stay at the Inn

electric blindscomfortable bedroll-top bathlimited menuhigh pricestandard fare
The room included electric blinds, so it was easy to adjust the light. The bed was huge, and I found it comfortable. The bathroom was modern with a roll-top bath. I liked this feature.
The menu seemed limited. I ordered roast beef with trimmings. It was standard. The meal did not reflect the price charged. It was quite disappointing.
