chaotic restaurant free lunch
Our stay did not meet expectations. I booked a table for our evening meal and the restaurant seemed chaotic. A large party got two meals and then someone took them away, saying they brought them to the wrong table. I felt upset, so we declined the offered free lunch and left early.

The room was nicely decorated and clean! tea, coffee, and biscuits were provided. I found that charming. the food at breakfast was good, and the evening meal was good quality too.
The shower did not work. That was annoying. the cold water tap in the bedroom only produced a tiny trickle of water. the outside toilet door had no lighting, and it could not be locked.

fantastic getaway!
super clean room big bath comfortable bed fresh towels
i wanted a break and staying here did the trick! my room, a superior double room, was super clean. i liked the big bath and the great shower. the bed was very comfortable (i slept like a log!). there were plenty of fresh towels in the bathroom.
the bar closed a little early for my liking, but it wasn't a big deal.

the english breakfast included perfectly cooked yorkshire black pudding. dinner in the bar was excellent, and the steak and ale pie was delicious. they offer a good selection of local beers too.

the staff was very helpful and friendly (i really enjoyed talking with them). they helped with my bags and also offered some travel tips for the area. i was.

lovely getaway
wide selection breakfast selection quality food attentive service relaxing atmosphere
the food was excellent, and i particularly enjoyed breakfast with its wide selection of fresh juices and cereals, i also had dinner once and the quality of the food impressed me, the wine list offered a great selection, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The room troutsdale was compact, though it had the biggest bed, i requested that specific room. The bathroom had a shower and it was fine. The dog cage fit well into the space too.

The village setting is really fine, i enjoyed walking around. The local church is very close and worth seeing. Parking is available in front of the building though the rear is for staff only.

The staff members were friendly and helpful. They worked hard to accommodate the guests. I chatted with the owner, annelies, and she shared some interesting history about the place! i found that very nice.

I had a steak and ale pie, and the pastry was fabulous. The meat was also of great quality. My wife had the half portion of the roast. It was big enough for a normal appetite.

spacious room cool room milk flask frayed towels
the location its really nice. the room was spacious and cool when i got there, windows were open. breakfast was very good and i was served fast at 0800. i also got a takeaway, i was full after friday's supper.
when i arrived i was taken upstairs and saw a mini flask of milk. milk was stuck to the furniture, it had obviously come out. towels i got were falling apart on the edges.

the breakfasts were quite good. friendly staff took orders. the room was comfortable. the staff was helpful.

double room spacious bathroom plenty towels
i visited and loved my room. it was a beautiful double room and the bathroom was very spacious. plenty of towels were available there.
the car park out front had some cigarette ends.
