Balanced stay , some road noise

friendly staff busy car park delicious lunch poor carpet main road noisy location
i booked sunday lunch because it was near where i was staying. the car park WAS busy so parking might be difficult. i read previous reviews about the staff but they were polite and friendly.
it was right on a main road SO there was a lot of noise all day and night. the bedroom seemed dowdy and the stair carpet was poor. i was UNABLE to open the window because of the noise from the busy road.

i arrived early at 1 pm. i planned on enjoying their bar and restaurant while i waited to check in. as a guest of the inn, i was not able to eat at a normal dinner time.

Just OK for What it Cost

The breakfast did include various items, so that was alright I guess.
The staff wasn't exactly attentive. Getting a simple request fulfilled seemed like pulling teeth. I actually had to ask twice for towels, a real nuisance.
