a dreamy stopover

I adored the unique indian-themed room. the american diner for breakfast was like a sweet escape. the morgan car showroom was easily accessible and added to the charm! it was like a romantic hideaway with thoughtful touches everywhere. The owners clearly care.
the location required a taxi, so i had to plan my travels carefully. it was a minor thing, but i want to be transparent.

The double room included effective blackout blinds, a super comfortable bed, and a great shower room. It was very quiet. the room maintained high standards of cleanliness and had unique decor elements throughout the space.

dim lightingsticky surfaces
I found a couple of things less than stellar. The room lighting was quite dim. It made reading in bed a challenge. I also thought the breakfast area, while well-stocked, needed a bit more cleaning. Some of the surfaces were sticky.

the room was clean. the breakfast bar was arranged like an american diner, a fun touch. i especially appreciated the variety of food available (the pastries were delicious!).
the bed was firmer than i prefer. the lighting in the room was quite dim. i found the selection of tv channels rather limited.

Melvyn showed us around the hotel and the morgan car showroom. the location was very quiet. breakfast in the american diner was a treat. It was also available in the evening if we wanted takeout. i would stay there again.

The room decor was art-deco and classic car themed (I'm not a classic car enthusiast, yet I found it lovely). The large kitchen had self-service, so it seemed like a home from home. Everything needed for breakfast was available. Tea and coffee were ready. There were also snacks. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, nice and neat. The decor matched the theme, and every item needed for a comfortable night's sleep was available.
The twin room was the only option left when I booked (though it was not a major problem).
