a few issues in my room

dirty room missing handles
the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
my room wasn't as clean as i hoped.. cobwebs hung from the ceiling and it was like several things needed some attention, particularly the wardrobe doors that were missing handles and hard to open.

amazing stay!!!

late checkout sunrise hike friendly environment warm environment
the staff allowed us to check out late, so we could have a kip after our sunrise hike. they assisted with crockery when we got a takeaway one night! everything about this place was fantastic. the staff gave loads of recommendations for our planned hikes. it was a real, friendly, warm and family-like environment!
I was notified of the road closure in advance. i did not expect heavy machinery working through the night.

the location was perfect, ideal for the event i was taking part in. it is an excellent base for visiting local beauty spots. the hotel is pretty central to access other parts of the area.

excellent breakfast and amazing staff

great breakfast accommodating chef
the staff were nice and friendly. the chef was accommodating too. breakfast was very good and it powered us through our hike to scafell. i had a delicious dinner and the pub is downstairs. it was very convenient!

The room featured a double bed with clean linens and two bedside tables with lamps. It also included a wardrobe and a small writing desk with a chair! the bathroom had a walk-in shower.

the hotel offered complimentary wi-fi access throughout the building. there was a traditional pub on the ground floor that served a selection of meals and drinks. parking was available free of charge to all guests.
