Inconsistent Cleaning Standards

excellent breakfastscruffy roomdirty laundry
Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of high-quality food.
The room designated as "The Wooly Bugger" was not excellent. It seemed scruffy, tired, and frankly, not clean. Upon our arrival, a pile of dirty laundry just sat on the floor... nice touch.

The room decor needs refreshment. There were areas requiring repainting. cleanliness was also a concern as dust was evident throughout the room. i found these issues detracted from the overall experience. the room quality impacted my stay negatively.

lacking vegetablesweak wine
My dinner was a bit of a letdown. I ordered a chicken dish that arrived breaded with only sauce and a heap of rocket. Seriously? £18.95 for that? I was expecting a tad more than just greenery. The wine was weak. It was like drinking water that once saw a grape. At least they switched the wine when I complained, so that was decent.
