Charming Stay Near Highclere

I enjoyed the room very much (it was the 'Canter' room, by the way). The bed felt very comfortable and I liked the design with plantation shutters and interior decor. The shower area included a cleverly designed sliding door. the water temperature did not require adjustment. Having a wide screen TV added relaxation. The staff seemed friendly and efficient, particularly Max. He was helpful and quietly sensitive during a difficult time for my family. He handled a large, unexpected group with flexibility. I also appreciated the complimentary sloe gin. A nice touch that added to the stay.
I noticed a lack of biscuits in the room. Biscuits would have been nice with the hot drinks.

The hotel has nice walks right from the hotel. It also seemed convenient for getting into the town either by car or walking. The hotel is situated close to the center. it is easily accessible from a major road.

well done roomcomplimentary ginexcellent breakfast
i found the room well done. there was complimentary gin. i had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. the watermill theatre was a short walk away.
the bar shuts really early. i really wanted a pint after the show.
