Excellent Food and Coastal Access

The food in the pub downstairs was lovely. I was grateful that I could swap breakfast for a packed lunch. The location is great because it is right on the South West Coast Path. The staff were very friendly.
Getting up to the bedrooms was a bit of a challenge I think. The stairs were a bit steep.

Excellent Stay, Great Food and Friendly Faces

I enjoyed an amazing crab linguine from the specials menu. It was Micky's recommendation. My wife chose the fish pie and loved it. We shared the mussels. It was a perfect starter. Micky, Raeni, Rav, and Xavier each played a part in making our night nice.
The management blamed the building's age for the mildew issue. I thought some deep cleaning could have made a big difference. It was unfortunate given the room's other positive attributes.

The Inn boasts a fantastic location. It is perfect for hikers on the South West Coast Path. It is set back slightly from the main road and ensures a quiet environment. The beach and promenade are just a short walk away.

The room featured matching curtains, a bedspread, and wall hangings. It created a good and light atmosphere. Tea, coffee, water, and biscuits were provided, and the overall space was very clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. I slept very well.

I received a warm welcome, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The team was attentive. The breakfast was fantastic. I was impressed with the high standard.

window framesdamp smell
The room decor looked nice but the cleaning was poor. i noticed black mildew in the small shower room and it smelled damp. The window frames were not clean and also had mildew. staff said it was because of the building's age. I felt my concerns were dismissed. we usually read reviews. But mine is different. we stayed in six places that week. This was the only one that wasn't super clean.

the room was spacious (i think it was a family room), it easily accommodated my luggage. the location near the water was convenient for walks. breakfast included a good selection of items.
the wifi signal was weak in my room. the shower was a bit small and basic. i noticed some wear and tear on the furniture.
