The staff were very friendly and cute. Memory and Prince looked after me very well. My room and the common areas were amazing. I had a view from my balcony.

The lighting in the room was quite bad. It was cold white lighting. The room finishes looked a bit tired and in need of a re-paint.

the staff was helpful arranging meals. the hotel included bespoke rooms, an interior courtyard, and sumptuous sitting rooms. the breakfast had a great hearty flavor. i found the communal areas inviting, especially with the evening fire.

the lighting was not ideal because it seemed a bit cold.

Really good Stay, A True Home Away from Home

I REALLY appreciated the staff. They were cute and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing schedules. Prince checked in with us daily. THAT was so helpful! Breakfast was AMAZING, especially the homemade bread. The location IS great. It's easy to get around, either walking or taking an Uber (taxis are readily available).

The room finishes looked a little tired. A fresh coat of paint might brighten things up.

The hotel includes two classic houses linked by a lovely courtyard, REALLY adding to its charm. Interior spaces are beautifully furnished. Everything is very comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great. I was impressed.

The staff provides excellent service. They assist with breakfast and offer great advice about what to do. Memory's guidance about our time was particularly valuable. The team is very attentive and ensures every need is met promptly.

Breakfast each morning offers a delicious selection of items. An honesty bar is available in the breakfast room in the evenings. I discovered a freshly baked cake was ALWAYS available to enjoy (a Good touch).

Kloof Street is nearby and SAFE to walk. It is lively and has great restaurants and pubs. The neighborhood felt very secure and offered easy access to various attractions. I found it VERY convenient.
