the approach to the hotel was amazing! our beautiful room was spacious with a beautifully appointed bathroom, and it was furnished so well. before dinner, i enjoyed a drink at the bar (the atmosphere was so relaxing). the restaurant food tasted delicious! all the staff were friendly to our needs. i appreciated the quick check-in process. the breakfast buffet was a real treat, with fresh, well-cooked food.
The sound proofing between our room and the adjoining room was not good. I could hear the television through the door.

a romantic escape i'll never forget

The building exudes such historical charm, it was captivating. our room had a wonderfully comfortable bed. I slept so soundly each night. the breakfast was an absolute delight each morning. the staff were friendly and always ready to help, a true pleasure!!!
the only minor thing was the wifi signal wasn't strong in all areas of the room, but honestly, it hardly mattered.

i stayed for several nights and found the hotel offered easy bus access from oxford (very convenient!). i also noticed ample parking, a great amenity. the building had beautiful grounds, a feature i definitely appreciated. the room included a welcome tray, a thoughtful touch.
I did find the soundproofing less than ideal. I could hear corridor noise occasionally.

The hotel features beautiful gardens perfect for relaxed strolls. i enjoyed the spacious beautiful room, complete with large windows. lavender restaurant provided excellent dinners. Compliments to the chef! the breakfast buffet included a continental selection plus a hot english breakfast, really yummy!!!
the tiled floor in the bedroom felt quite cold, making it slightly uncomfortable without rugs.
