classic stay!
convenient location comfortable futon delicious coffee
I enjoyed the hotel's proximity to the train station. It made travel so easy. the futon setup each evening was a nice touch and very comfortable. i liked the japanese breakfast. The coffee was surprisingly good, too.

The room was half japanese and half western, a wonderful cultural blend. Amenities included robes and slippers. the room design included thoughtful touches, like well-placed hooks.

staff members were generally friendly. the staff promptly arranged for some juice and rolls to be delivered. prior to arrival, they addressed our allergy concerns regarding the french dinner.

Wonderful stay near the station
helpful staff convenient location plentiful breakfast relaxing onsen
the staff was always ready to help. the location is convenient, a short walk from the train station (really useful with luggage). i found the breakfast to be plentiful and varied. the onsen offered a relaxing experience after a day of travel.
the room decor felt a bit dated.

the staff demonstrated high professionalism assisting with directions and luggage. i appreciated the quick response to requests and the clear explanations provided at reception (everyone spoke good english).

the onsen facilities are well maintained and clean and included both indoor and outdoor options. the hotel has a rental car service and the proximity to the train station makes transportation easy. i used the free parking also.

outdated facilities uncontrollable air conditioning
The hotel location near the train station was acceptable. It provided easy access to transportation options in the area.
The outdated facilities were disappointing. The decor felt old and worn (a real letdown for the price). The air conditioning in my room was difficult to control. It never got cool enough, resulting in some discomfort during the night.

small shower high noise
the hotel felt a bit tired. my room had a very small shower. the showerhead sprayed water everywhere except where i needed it. also, the breakfast buffet, while extensive, seemed overcrowded. it was hard to find a table and the noise level was quite high. that impacted the experience negatively.
