the rooms are very large, unlike the rooms in tokyo. the staff are hospitable. the food, a fusion of japanese and western cuisine, is very good. the private onsen is really good and convenient.
the building is very dated and floorboards on the balcony and in the shower were loose.

five-course meallocal ingredientsmould smelltatami bed
i totally loved the five-course dinner! it included local ingredients and tasted so delicious. also, the staff accommodated our late arrival, after we missed our train, , made me really happy. they explained how the onsen worked so well!
The room smelled a bit of mould. I think it might need some updates. also, the tatami bed and pillow were not comfortable for me. i expected a bit more comfort.

amazing foodmold smelllimited english
the food in the room was amazing and provided a great experience.
The intense smell of mold hit me immediately upon entering and walking through the corridors. It worsened in the room. i requested a room change because of the mold problem but it was hard to communicate since the staff spoke limited english. it was unacceptable given the price i paid (i think).
