i stayed for a few nights. cath greeted me with a map and excellent tips for getting around. the bus stop is so close, its practically outside the door! the room had a kettle with tea and cookies, it was so cozy. the skylight windows let in lots of natural light, i really liked that.
the building sits on a busy street. i found the street noise a little disruptive at night. some double-glazing would really help.

spiral staircaselimited headroom
i wasn't happy that our "garden view room" was actually on the 3rd floor. it was a climb up 44 stairs, with the last 22 forming a dangerous spiral staircase. carrying heavy suitcases up those stairs was ridiculous, and my husband ended up hurting his back. also, the room had no shower and limited headroom because it was in the attic. there was a bath, but the cold water didn't work (it was only very hot), so i had to use jugs of cold water to cool it down.
