okay value for money
big window quiet location black mould grubby entrance
my room had a big window and a carpet. it was very close to the city centre, i could walk everywhere. it was at a rather quiet location, so i slept well.
the walk from the car park to the front made me think the inside was going to be mediocre. it was a bit grubby, i must say. i saw mould in the bathroom and it needs treating. what looked like black mould came out from base of tap when i turned it on.

convenient location complimentary upgrade spacious room polite staff
I appreciated the hotel's convenient location near the main town and my workplace. It was quiet, despite being close to the town center. I received a complimentary room upgrade. I thank the hotel for this. The room was spacious, especially for a solo traveler, and the bed was comfortable with a pleasant temperature. The staff member was polite and cute, and explained the check-in and check-out procedures well.
The entrance sign for the car park was somewhat obscured! by a rubbish bin.

The room included extra pillows. This provided added comfort. Tea and coffee making facilities were present, and allowed for in-room refreshments. The room was generally clean and tidy, an aspect I consider important.

The hotel benefits from its proximity to shops, just a short walk away, about 200 yards. The hotel offers a useful car park for those arriving by car. I found that the bus station was quite close to the hotel.

erratic shower temperature hidden parking sign
The room was okay, but the shower temperature was erratic. it switched from freezing to scalding without warning. It was quite unpleasant. also, the parking was a bit of a hassle. the entrance was down a narrow alley, and the sign was hidden by bins. it made finding the car park tricky.

hot water milk pots
the bed was nice and neat, i will say.
The hot water was a real problem. it was scalding hot, like dangerously so. i couldn't adjust it in the shower. also, there were only three tiny milk pots in the room. We really needed more.

the location is great. staff members were friendly. the room was very clean.
I asked for the room to be cleaned, but the towels weren't replaced. The old ones were left in the bathroom.

wet towels empty bin
The location was central. That met expectations.
I asked for the room to be cleaned, but the wet towels were just slung onto the bath panel. the bin was not emptied either. the bed sheets were not changed. I had sweated from my shivering, trying to fight off illness. the heating was off all night and day despite the radiator being on.
