Underwhelming Stay at Historic Site

historical characteroily souprestaurant disappointment
I liked the historical character of the hotel.
The food was a BIG disappointment. Our Christmas Eve dinner was practically inedible, and we sent it back. French onion soup tasted oily, and the terrine had a waxy texture. The staff were pleasant, but the restaurant really let the hotel down.

decent stay, some issues

beautiful backdropfriendly staffexpensive foodparking issue
the location offers a beautiful backdrop. the restaurant was convenient. breakfast had quite the spread and an amazing view in the dining hall. most of the staff seemed friendly and helpful.
The food was expensive! while tasty, it was not of the quality i expected. parking was an issue. I had to park on the roadside where i felt the car was vulnerable.
