charming scottish experience
attentive staff highland feel good food great bar
i found the staff consistently friendly. they were 5 star. the hotel definitely has a traditional highland feel and i loved the atmosphere. the bar was very good with great food on offer.
the tv reception was a little spotty, but it didn't bother me much, as i wasn't there to watch tv.

the spacious room i had featured lovely furnishings and a clean, well-kept bathroom, with nice amenities. the bed was very comfortable and i had a restful night's sleep. i appreciated the attention to detail throughout.

late dinner convenient parking helpful staff fluffy towels
arriving late, we were grateful to get dinner around 9pm. parking right outside was VERY convenient. the staff were helpful and kind. towels in the bathroom were large and fluffy.
i would have liked a coffee machine for proper coffee.

tilted floor messy grout
The breakfast was quite nice (especially the haggis).
My room was a bit of a letdown. The floor had a noticeable tilt. The bathroom seemed like a DIY project gone wrong, I must say. The grout was messy, and the shower temperature was a gamble between scalding and tepid. A bit more attention to detail in the room maintenance would really elevate the stay.

charming stay near the castle
convenient location friendly staff train station
I appreciated the convenient location near the train station. Proximity to Blair Castle was a bonus for wedding guests. The staff members were all very friendly. I didn't feel intruded upon.
The room needed more attention to housekeeping and general maintenance for the price. This was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is well situated for exploring the Cairngorms loop by bike, and i observed that the hotel was very accommodating with bikes, even providing secure storage .

Staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged an early breakfast bag for my cycling event. The team ensured i did not miss breakfast despite my early departure. That was very thoughtful.

The Bothy Bar offers tasty food and a selection of good beers. I especially enjoyed the scottish breakfast with all its variety. It was spot on, delicious and fulfilling.

The building itself felt very beautiful. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All staff were helpful, good humoured and attentive.
The bedroom was small and the bed was not very comfortable. Food was not really good and the bread was cheap. Coffee tasted cold and cheap.

vegan options open fires comfy bed poor housekeeping bad maintenance slow wi-fi
the staff was very accommodating for vegan options at breakfast. i really appreciated that effort. there were open fires throughout, it gave a lovely feeling. the bed in the room was comfy and big.
I thought the housekeeping could have been better. also, the maintenance of the room could have been better. i thought that considering the price, it should have been improved! the wi-fi was slow. The tv didn't work..
