dated decorweak coffee
the standard room was not excellent it felt quite dated the decor was tired and some fixtures seemed worn. I noticed a musty smell the room needed better ventilation. the breakfast was ok but lacked variety the coffee tasted weak.

i found the breakfast choices fabulous and the bedroom was quite spacious i liked the location it was about a short walk from the main area i enjoyed a tasty meal at the pub and the drinks selection was diverse.
the room decor was somewhat dated i noticed the need for updates though everything remained clean and functional for my needs.

I found the beer brewed next door to be excellent. The staff were ALL lovely. breakfast was good quality and the waitress was helpful.
Room 10 was very tired. the bathroom could use a revamp, and had black mould on the tiles. the shower was so low i couldn't get my head under it to wash.

i enjoyed the traditional aspects of the hotel. the evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was a proper full scottish one. the charming pub had great beers brewed on site.
the floorboards in my room were noticeably squeaky.
