a romantic stay!
friendly staff lovely extras victorian architecture
the staff was super friendly, and i really appreciate that. our room had lovely extras like delicious shortbread and scrumptious chocolates. the victorian architecture really struck me, its feel was so special, and the christmas decor added extra beauty.
the room was hot, i know its winter, but it was still quite uncomfortable. i had to use a fan to try and get some sleep. it was a real struggle.

The junior suite provided a spacious environment with a lovely ambiance, including special touches. The comfortable bed featured high-quality linens, it was amazing!!!

The staff was attentive and were very good, always addressing needs with efficiency and warmth. prompt responses to every inquiry enhanced the overall experience. Every team member provided consistent, polite, and professional service.

The communal areas are a sight to behold, especially the restaurant, with its stylish bar and perfect design. the elegant decorations, particularly during christmas, create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the well-kept garden.

tasteless bar food slow dining service
the evening meals were quite poor , specifically the bar food. i found it tasteless and overpriced , especially given the low tables , made eating uncomfortable. the dining room service was also slow , despite there being few diners. the scallops starter was inedible due to a thick bed of salt , though thankfully, it was removed from our bill.

small room constant noise
The room I was given felt quite small. I could hear a lot of noise from other rooms, including chatter and TV sounds. These issues really affected my stay. The lack of quiet was not ideal after a long day, though the location was perfect! though the parking was expensive.

i definitely loved my room! it was a townhouse double room, and it featured a lovely seating area. plus, the bathroom had high-end toiletries, a major plus.
the in-room coffee machine was a little difficult to figure out!

Acceptable Stay with a Few Issues
warm room slow service
The breakfast was acceptable (nothing too special but enough options).
My room was uncomfortably warm, despite attempts to adjust the thermostat. It just wouldn't cool down. the evening meal I ordered from the bar had poor quality. It tasted bland and seemed overpriced for what I received (I expected much more for the price). The slow service in the dining area added to my frustration.
