a gem of hospitality
main canal complimentary drinks steam bath
The location felt superb , a short walk led to the main canal , central square and an old church. the hotel offered many complimentary drinks and snacks, a dutch touch i appreciated. the room featured a steam bath. An unexpected highlight that greatly enhanced the stay.
i did notice the room could use a bit more light , as it felt quite dark , especially in the evenings.

The staff was polite. The room-service breakfast was yummy. They took care of all the extra amenities very well. I enjoyed the complimentary snacks and drinks. The minibar included many treats. The location was close to the city center.
The noise from the nearby cafes was too loud. It made it hard to sleep. I needed earplugs to get any rest.

mixed feelings about the stay
jacuzzi problem noise problem
the staff was nice and helpful in the 'junior suite sardine'.
The jacuzzi barely produced any bubbles. It was not relaxing. the rain shower needed descaling, so its performance was poor. the noise from nearby cafes made sleeping difficult despite using earplugs. It was nearly impossible to rest

The room was stocked with drinks. The minibar was complimentary. the staff were helpful and accommodating!
the street sights were a sharing of passing groups and bikers. but it got a little noisy at times.
