the location was excellent. the staff at the front desk were helpful. the bed provided a very comfortable sleep. i also appreciated the range of choices available at breakfast.
the hotel lacked both a pool and a gym. they did not provide an iron in the room. instead, they took my clothing away to iron it for me. the floors in my room creaked and seemed to retain odors.

the front desk made checkin easy and gave great info on local spots. the location IS perfect. shopping and eating spots are nearby. the room was clean. it was also very comfy.
some things could improve. the terrace with sun loungers advertised by hotels dot com was only for restaurant customers. this was disappointing. we booked SPECIFICALLY for the outside space. we were swiftly informed.

the hotel is beautiful. high ceilings is a beauty to admire. tasteful decorations adds up to the grandeur. it also has that famous staircase which is a wonder. the premises are well cared for.

the bathroom is a real treat. it includes a superb shower. the bedroom was spacious and GORGEOUS. beds are super comfortable. i slept soundly. i woke up the next day all refreshed.

i appreciated the helpful front desk. the staff had excellent knowledge regarding local transportation. timetables to many destinations were readily available. restaurants were easy to find with their direction.
the room floors creaked slightly, it was a minor issue.

the room felt a bit dated. the air conditioning was not effective, it made the room uncomfortably warm. also, the breakfast buffet seemed quite basic. i was expecting more variety and higher quality ingredients for the price i paid. it barely exceeded what i would expect at a holiday inn.
