the staff were very friendly and helpful i had a fabulous large pot of coffee at breakfast i also loved the fresh fruit the hotel brought to the table.

Comfortable Stay and Friendly Staff
dog friendly hotel warm room good location
i found the hotel to be dog friendly. the room i stayed in was warm and clean. the location was good for exploring the surrounding area. i will consider it again.
I noticed the breakfast service was a bit slow. I had to wait a while for coffee despite being seated promptly.

there is a reading room available . the hotel provides complimentary parking behind the building. the ferry port to orkney is a short drive away, and dunnet head is also easily accessible.

the room i had was cosy. the furnishings were basic, but in good condition. the shower worked well. the room was also super clean and cozy, which i appreciated.

the staff made a big difference. the receptionist was helpful and attentive to my needs. all staff were friendly and cute. they seemed to care about the quality of my stay.

the breakfast selection was ample, and a bit more varied than what i have seen at other places. the meals seemed to be good value for money. i enjoyed my dinner a lot it was prepared nicely.

dinner food fruit platter synthetic feeling musty smell
the dinner food was AMAZING!!! my partner had a steak saturday special. the fruit platter at breakfast was especially fresh and delicious. it was possibly one of the best breakfasts i have had.
The bed linen felt scratchy and synthetic. the mattress was uncomfortable. I could not sleep well. the room had a musty smell i did not like. hallways also needed a refresh.

dog treats perfect location
The room included treats and blankets. This was a nice touch for my dog. The hotel's location was perfect as a stop on our NC500 route.
