the staff was friendly. the outside of the building looked quite good too.
i found the family room quite disappointing. the curtains had some suspicious marks, almost like someone had blown their nose on them. the shower also had thick black mould around the skirting.

the room was bigger than i expected and very clean. tea and coffee were available. a good double bed and flat screen tv were present. the bathroom was modern. i found parking available on site, very helpful.
the shower drain was blocked. this impacted the overall experience.

The hotel is around 1 to 2 miles from the city centre. this proximity allowed easy access to local attractions. frequent buses are right next to the hotel and a nice park is nearby. This is convenient.

I found the double room (30) spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also super clean. the bed provided a good night's sleep, surprising. i appreciated the freshly cooked breakfast with attentive service. The staff kept the restaurant clean. breakfast portion sizes were generous.
i noticed a damp odour in the room, and the carpet treatment did not entirely resolve it.
