the lack of air conditioning in the room was noticeable. during warmer days, the room became quite stuffy. better ventilation would improve comfort.

Charming Stay in Historic District

larger roomauthentic featuresgood serviceconvenient location
The hotel offered a larger room upgrade. The room had authentic features and good service. The location is close to the bryggen historical unesco site. The central station is only ten minutes away by foot (it was very convenient).
I noticed the kettle in my room had no readily available socket.
Service

The staff were cute. They seemed helpful and courteous during my entire stay. They answered all my questions promptly and provided useful recommendations (especially for local restaurants!). I found their assistance invaluable.

underwhelming stay, despite location

central locationdated roomminimal light
the central location was convenient, close to attractions and transport.
The room felt dated, like stepping into grandma's house. it was quite dark, needing the curtains closed constantly because of the nearby building. Natural light was minimal and the furnishings were old. i also found the absence of air conditioning a problem, especially with street noise forcing us to keep windows open.
