Acceptable Stay, But Some Issues

window issue leaky shower
The breakfast was acceptable.
The bathroom window did not close. I found it freezing cold! The shower screen leaked causing the floor to flood. It was a mess. I think the entire place needs an update, it looks tired.

fantastic stay!

good selection clean linen
the breakfast had a really good selection and i especially liked the super clean table linen! the staff were excellent and provided high-quality bed linen and towels. i really appreciated the attention to detail .
i found it a little inconvenient that there wasn't a dedicated hotel lobby and the entrance was through a busy, noisy pub. it made checking in and out a bit challenging with luggage.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast offered a wide array of options, including fruit juices, cereals, and yogurts. i ordered poached eggs with bacon and mushrooms. They were cooked to perfection!!! the american pancakes are highly recommended as well.

Decent Location. Some Issues

clean room great location broken plug distant water
The room was a nice size and clean. The location is great. It is easy to walk to many places.
I had to go down a flight of stairs to get water for tea or coffee. The plug was broken in the bath, so I had to use a teaspoon to remove it.

mixed experience at this hotel

overpowering smell hygiene standards
The room reeked of fried food. It permeated everything. i couldn't sleep due to the overpowering smell. we had to wash all our belongings, including coats and a suit. They all reeked of old frying oil. hygiene standards need to improve. the smell even affected our breakfast experience. i won't stay here again!!!
