charming stay
warm welcome clean room quick service reliable wifi
my two stays here were good i was welcomed warmly and found the rooms spotlessly clean with great facilities. the breakfasts were superb the service was quick and a good range of options were available. parking was convenient and wi-fi access was reliable and a few minutes walk to the beautiful hoe.
the extractor fan in the bathroom was quite noisy i found it woke me up at 2am before i found the isolator switch. the heaters were turned right down initially so the room felt cold upon arrival, but i adjusted them quickly.

The hotel is near the citadel. It is also a short walk to the barbican. this is a bonus for exploring the city. access to the hoe is ideal.

Breakfast included custom-cooked meals. the breakfast service provided multiple options. the staff took great care to prepare our dishes to our exact requests. The portions were quite large, unexpected.

quality ingredients takeaway cup powerful shower
The breakfast was AMAZING!!! It featured a full English with quality ingredients. The staff arranged late check-in and provided takeaway cups for coffee, a lovely touch. The shower was hot and powerful. It also included very nice smelling toiletries.
The room was somewhat compact.

The breakfast chef made perfect eggs. The ingredients tasted fresh. the beautiful double room was clean. The air smelled good. the location is very convenient. the staff, especially carly, provided a warm welcome
The conditioner dispenser in my room was empty. It needed refilling.

Mixed feelings about the stay
musty smell noisy door
The breakfast had a good choice of options.
The check-in felt rushed, and it lacked a personal touch. My allocated double beautiful room was quite small and difficult to move around in. The bathroom door was particularly noisy, and a musty smell permeated the space. There was also NO hand soap provided.

damp smell inconsistent shower
I had some issues . The bathroom lacked proper ventilation. This resulted in a persistent damp smell. The shower temperature was also inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold without warning. These issues detracted from what was otherwise a reasonable experience.

advantageous location clean room responsive staff
the location is quite advantageous as it allows for easy access to nearby attractions. I found the room very clean and well kept. The staff was responsive to my requests, promptly addressing an issue i had.
the parking area gets crowded quickly and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
