Acceptable stay, but with drawbacks
non-functioning lightshabby decoration
The bedside light did not work properly. I brought this to the attention of the owner. The separate bathroom was underwhelming , vanity mirror light not working. The basin emptied slowly and the decoration looked very shabby.

The breakfast was amazing with fresh options and many choices. the hotel provided a beautiful river view. I loved this lovely view. the hosts were cute and friendly. the location was convenient for accessing attractions.
The room was a little smaller than expected. This made moving around slightly difficult.

The botanic garden is across the river. It makes for a lovely visit for flower enthusiasts. i found it to be in a peaceful setting. it is a short walk to the city.

the guesthouse was beautiful, as well as well maintained. the elderly couple owned it. it looked like they loved it very much. i found it wonderful.

i found free parking available, really handy! the breakfast included an excellent selection of fresh fruit plus meats and cereals breads. the room felt spacious and had a european flair. it was nice and unexpected.
The tv wasn't working. It seemed like there was no signal. the host mentioned his tv was working fine, but he couldn't offer another room, this was less than helpful. there were no blackout blinds or curtains, so sunlight woke me up early.
