unlit steps safety hazard
the view of ortigia was acceptable by day and by night.
The service was DIRE! staff seemed to do the minimum to tick the boxes. There was rarely a smile. the last steps down from the general walking area were unlit. It was a huge safety hazard after dark.

isolated hotel impersonal service
the location was acceptable.
The hotel felt very isolated, a taxi to town cost a fortune. service at the pool was minimal. Everything had to be ordered via a phone app. i also found the pool area itself looked quite uninviting.

excellent stay, superb views
olive tree sandy beach
I loved how immaculate the hotel was! the cactus and olive tree gardens were beautiful. the view was really fabulous. One side has a rocky beach with views of ortigia, and the other side has a lovely sandy beach overlooking a cove.
the lack of handrails presented a serious challenge when going up and down steps. it's an easy change that should be made.

The breakfast was superb, fitting a five-star hotel. Staff members were friendly and helpful. i did not eat in the restaurant though the breakfast was great.

The location is amazing. Views of ortigia are wonderful! it's a few kilometers out of the town so driving or taxi is necessary to ortigia, about 15 minutes.

The staff are very friendly plus helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. alessandro was helpful at check in. The attention is top notch and the staff is professional.

Our room was modern, very well equipped, and had a view across the bay toward ortigia! rooms are spacious plus comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was lovely.
