I received a warm welcome with complimentary tea and coffee. the hotel provided great parking facilities. I found that very convenient.
The basin tap had a poor water flow. there was no wardrobe in the room. A few hangers on a rail were provided instead.

The hotel grounds impressed ME. They featured several outdoor sitting areas and were well-kept. The location was convenient to places like Rye and hastings.
The staff didn't offer help with luggage upon my arrival. I thought it was unusual because there were NO other guests. The bedroom lacked complete carpeting. The floorboards did not feel the best to walk on without shoes.

Decent Stay with Minor Drawbacks

friendly stafftea offergreat atmosphereblackout curtainsdiscolored groutmoldy silicone
The staff were very friendly! They offered tea or coffee upon my arrival, a lovely touch. The atmosphere had a great vibe, and I enjoyed hearing the history of the place. The breakfast was AMAZING!!!
The bedroom needed blackout curtains because the outside lighting made it difficult to darken the room. The shower cubicle's grout and silicone looked discolored and was moldy. I think avoiding that particular room is probably best.

The room had accessible sockets for chargers which was useful. Staff readily gave information on everything needed. The bed was very comfortable. That helped me to rest after a long trip.
There was no offer of help with luggage on arrival, even though there were no other guests at that moment. I had to ask for a remote for TV. The bedroom was not fully carpeted. The floorboards were not great for walking on barefooted.
