I adored our traditional room with tatami mats. it was so spacious. i also enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's location near the train station. the private open-air bath on the balcony was good. it added a special touch to my stay. We loved the experience.
the room, while clean, had a slight musty scent that was noticeable upon arrival.

a splendid traditional experience

The ryokan is a short walk from the train station. the room overlooked a beautiful river. The sounds were peaceful. i particularly enjoyed the private onsen. It was a highlight of my stay.
the toilet had a slight urine odor. i noticed that the floor wasn't perfectly mopped. this was the only issue in an otherwise wonderful experience.

the traditional japanese dinner included many courses. traditional bedding was provided and the futon was very comfortable. the staff at the reception communicate well, their english is fluent.
the room had some unpleasant smell, it never cleared. the room also felt dated and dusty. it would be great to see these issues resolved.
