Really good Stay with Fine Scenery

The room featured a spacious layout and included comfortable seating. I found the en-suite bathroom particularly well-appointed. The hot tub provided excellent relaxation (I enjoyed it). The grounds were beautifully maintained and offered several quiet spots for enjoying the scenery.
The Wi-Fi signal in my room was occasionally weak.

A nice stay!

I received a tour of the house from Tom and he set a fantastic tone. I had a lake view from my room, so it was benefitial. I explored Ambleside before a pre-dinner drink and a fantastic dinner, so it was great. The staff were really good, as Tom says you arrive as guests but leave as friends. It's a rare home.
The bathroom had cracked floor tiles, and the bath was chipped. The roof above the shower looked mouldy, so the facilities were not great. When draining bath water, it came out of the shower drain with black gunk. The decor in the room could use an update, so the looks were old.

The room was quite large. I found the restaurant and bar lovely.
The mustard coloured covers looked worn. The sink in my bathroom was cracked. Paintwork needed touching up in the bedroom. It was also quite dusty. These issues require addressing to maintain the expected standard.

Breakfast was lovely. The amazing views added a lot to the experience.
The bathroom wasn't great. Grout had mold, and the bath jets were dirty. It seemed like basic maintenance was neglected. the WiFi didn't connect at all . It was quite inconvenient.

the SERVICE was quite slow during peak hours. I waited longer than expected for my orders to arrive.. and the staff seemed stretched thin. the wi-fi signal was also quite weak in my room. It's a shame as I was hoping to get some work done .
