The location is very central and convenient. the staff were super friendly and efficient, always ready to assist. breakfast was great. It had lots of choices, including both hot and continental options. the room was very comfy and tidy.
the mattress was really hard, so i didn't sleep too well.

breakfast had many choices, including a freshly cooked full english breakfast. the quality of the food was good, and additional items could be ordered. the restaurant, the forge, offered a menu with staff recommendations.

the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the railway station. it is also around the corner from the main high street and shops. a beautiful park is across from the hotel.

The hotel provides complimentary soft drinks and milk, restocked daily. there is free wifi throughout the hotel. This is very convenient. an english adapter was available for borrowing, helpful.

the bathroom included a spacious shower with two shower heads. there were plenty of towels, handwash, hand cream, shampoo, and conditioner. a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and safe were also in the room.

the staff were attentive and helpful, ready to assist with requests. check in staff were accommodating when storing luggage, and they were efficient. fraser, a staff member, showed enthusiasm during breakfast service.

the bed was comfy, just as i expect.
i booked a "king double room", but upon arrival, i was informed that i had been reassigned to a twin room since the king double rooms had been overbooked, which i found unacceptable. i did not receive any prior communication from the hotel about this issue. a 30-minute wait for a cooked breakfast after the waiter took the order was also unacceptable.

I received a very warm greeting upon arrival. The staff assisted with storing my luggage since I arrived early. The room featured a large bathroom including quality toiletries. I found complimentary snacks and drinks within the room, a pleasant touch.
The window could not be opened in my room, and reliance on air conditioning was necessary.
