the traditional japanese breakfast was delicious!!! it had amazing views of the lake.
The room and bathroom had a musty smell. There was a trip hazard on the floor because of a plank. the washing machine was also quite dirty.

The room included a private open air bath, and it was great. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner so much. The staff was very friendly to me. I was able to book a private onsen early.
The front desk manager seemed cold. They claimed I had been given two keys and was asked to pay a fine.

The staff was responsive before the trip and during the trip. The hotel offered a free shuttle. I was able to drop my bags off before check in, and also had them hold them after checkout.

The room had beds hidden away in the closet. The receptionist asks you at what time you would like the beds set up on the tatami floor. My room included a natural light from a light well.

The free shuttle from the station was helpful upon arrival. the room had a calming lake view. the breakfast included many traditional japanese dishes. I found them quite delicious.
I only had one room key, and the front desk charged a fine at checkout. the laundry room had a plank on the floor that posed a serious trip hazard, i also found some black gunk in one of the washing machines. the dryer didn't really work. My clothing was still wet after two hours.
