Victorian Charm and Modern Comfort

The lobby was a beautiful space. I appreciated the fan inside my room. It was easy to walk downtown. I could catch a bus to the city center with no trouble. The receptionist helped me by lending me a converter for my computer. It was very kind.
The room needed more shelves. The bathroom especially lacked storage space. A few hooks would help a lot.

The room was spacious with a nice view facing the garden. I found a self-contained bathroom that seemed recently modernized and pristine. I slept well on the comfortable bed, thanks to pristine linen.

Breakfast had varied quality. My first breakfast seemed so-so. The next morning breakfast was much better. It really depended on who was cooking.

Staff members were very friendly. The manager greeted my husband and me. They gave us recommendations on what to do in the city. We felt welcomed.

the room was spacious and very quiet (it was at the rear of the hotel). free on-site parking was a definite plus for me.

the staff at reception were accommodating, which i appreciated.
the room had a distinct musty odor. also, i found some leftover trash from previous guests, this raised concerns about the general cleanliness, especially the bathroom. the management apologized, this did not fully address my concerns.
