The grounds were beautiful and the spa facilities were excellent. All staff members I encountered were very friendly and helpful.
The amount paid was overpriced since it only covered the room. Access to basic facilities like the pool required an additional payment of £65 per person for 3.5 hours.

The room was very comfortable. It had a great bathroom. The staff was helpful, especially in the restaurant.
The staffs attitude was unfortunately standard. Its the old but prominent feel of because your "not a member of the golf club your treated differently" (this was the case). I won't be returning, we clearly don't fit in with their expectations.

Having to pay extra for a basic facility like the pool (about £65 per person for 3.5 hours) seemed quite expensive. I thought it should have been part of the overall package, especially considering the room rate.

Relaxing Getaway

The copper bath on the decking was fantastic. The food in the restaurant was great and I appreciated the friendly staff. The spa area provided relaxation, the water temperature was perfect (it reminded me of a warm bath!).
The relaxation room lacked temperature control and could use some plants to soften the ambience.

unwelcoming attitudeelectricity issue
I found the staff's attitude quite unwelcoming. It reminded me of because I am not a golf club member, I was treated differently. The electricity went off three times as I was changing for dinner with no apology offered, just a blunt explanation about a grid issue. We had to rush our dinner because we were told they needed the table back by 8 pm. I won't be returning, I didn't feel comfortable there.
