fantastic stay, was superb!
flavour combosfriendly stafffine decorthick bread
we had a valentines tasting menu with wine pairings. the chef's menu in the lantern room features creative flavour combos. the staff are attentive, friendly, and relaxed. the interior decor is fine and the manor house is set back from the main road.
the kitchen's sandwiches have bread that is too thick. i chose the beetroot, goats cheese, and walnut salad. it had plenty of beetroot but very little goats cheese and few walnuts. the bread was stale and i asked for butter.

the valentines tasting menu featured brioche, sea trout, and venison salami. we also enjoyed virtuous ale sourdough with whipped pork butter. the wine flight included rosé de saignée brut champagne. the salt aged beef fillet bourguignonne was very tasty.

the staff offered attentive and friendly service. the staff were relaxed without being intrusive. a colleague offered me something to take away when i missed breakfast. they also gave us some history of the hotel and a mini guided tour.

my room was immaculate and the bed was really comfortable. the furniture and furnishings were of a very high standard. there were lovely touches like the delicious macarons. i had all the amenities i could ask for, so helpful.

the manor house is easily accessible, yet set back from the main road. it was like we were in a luxurious world of its own. we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. the hotel location is perfect.

i found the staff very helpful. they answered all my questions about local attractions. the room had a coffee maker and a kettle. a steam cleaner hairdryer was also available. the bed was comfortable. the bathroom included all necessary amenities.
i experienced a slight delay receiving toasted teacakes from the coffee shop.

the hotel is near many places. i found easy access to the town center. public transportation is available nearby, offering routes to other areas. the surrounding area is quiet, away from city noise.

the breakfast included many options to choose from. the english breakfast was really good and tasty. the black pudding in particular was lovely. it was the best breakfast i have ever had.

the staff were very friendly and gave no issues when i asked for a bath. i was able to get consistent communication from them. delivery of service was on point. they responded to my requests with speed.

the staff provided friendly service , which i appreciated.
the food quality was concerning.. my meal arrived cold. when i mentioned the missing avocado, they offered to remake the sandwich, but i declined due to the long wait already. the team member who took my order then went on break, unprofessional.
