central location, quiet stay

central location helpful staff
the location is great for central areas. the room was clean and cosy. staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bedroom had a very creaky bed, a touch lamp kept turning itself on during the night, and there was no full-length mirror. The breakfast was not enjoyable.
Rooms
9/10
The room had coffee bags rather than sachets. a private shower room was available, and there were biscuits provided. Rooms have access to a beautiful garden through french doors.
Service
9/10
staff were helpful and able to meet our request for a shower rather than a bath. the staff's friendliness and attention were excellent! the hotel is equipped with private parking.
Dining
8/10
Breakfast offered a self-service selection of cereal and yogurt. A cooked breakfast was also available to order. the breakfast provided was freshly cooked, but the dining room was not inviting.

pretty hotel spacious room excellent breakfast missing dressing table no tissues sagging mattress
The hotel is really pretty and the rooms are spacious. I also appreciated the excellent breakfast I had, as well as the delicious family lunch later in the day. Staff were very patient and helpful.
There was no dressing table for applying make up, a problem when attending a wedding. There was nowhere to plug in heated tongs or a hairdryer. I found no tissues in the room and the mattress sagged in the middle.

balanced stay

central location helpful staff small bed uncomfortable mattress
the location was central and quiet. it was an easy walk to the town centre, this made exploring convenient. breakfast offered a self-service selection of cereals and yogurt. a cooked option. the staff were helpful too.
my room's bed was rather small for two people, i found the mattress uncomfortable. the sheets were also not very comfortable in my opinion. the heating wasn't on in the morning, and it only came back on as we prepared to leave. this was a bit disappointing.

A stay with some minor issues

good food central situation quiet location uncomfortable bed scruffy linen worn towel
The breakfast had good food. I enjoyed eating a full English with locally sourced mushroom. The location proved good for my trip purposes. The hotel situation is central and very quiet.
My bed was not comfortable, I think. The bed linen looks scruffy and not ironed. The towels were small bath towels and were of worn quality. There was no complimentary water.
