the parking was very convenient and i found ample space. entering the building, i saw it was very clean and tidy. i appreciated the clear signage that guided me. the staff greeted me with a smile, and they promptly addressed all my requests like extra tea in my room.
the railway line is nearby, i could notice some train noise at times, but it wasn't too intrusive.

the room was clean and well laid out. the staff were very helpful and friendly. i really enjoyed my stay here. parking at the hotel was also good.
i had to keep repeating myself to the server when ordering food. the meal was tasty, but i thought it was poor value for money. i requested only beans on toast for breakfast and it came with a couple of tablespoons of beans on one piece of toast. one was on the side, very poor.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Our room was very clean. Decoration was nice and made it a welcome place after our long days exploring. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and water pressure in the shower was excellent. The free WiFi was also a lovely extra.

the breakfast was good and had plenty of choices.
i was really disappointed with the dinner. i ordered the battered fish, but it was mostly batter with very little fish inside. my partner chose the beef and ale pie, but it was dry and lacked any real flavour. the room was clean enough.

The experience had some drawbacks. I found the room quite noisy because of a nearby train line. The trains passed frequently. The breakfast service was also a letdown. I requested a specific item, and it was not prepared correctly.
