Wonderful Stay Experience

canals location1960's stylegood restaurantbad receptionist
I appreciate the hotel is on canals and near parklands. The building was once navy marine officers' quarters. The restaurant area features a 1960's style decor. The staff appear happy except for the check-in. The downstairs restaurant is good and seating is available outside.
I encountered a receptionist who seemed to lack customer service skills. The receptionist repeated our nationalities strangely. He complained about room cleaning when we were confused about our room number. He mentioned the room number incident even at checkout.
Service

Acceptable stay overall

convenient locationhelpful staffbroken blindsnoisy area
The location proved very convenient as it was within walking distance of the central station. I appreciated the surroundings. The staff seemed kind and helpful.
The blinds did not fit the window adequately. This meant I couldn't get complete darkness for sleeping at night. It was VERY noisy here.
